This website is dedicated to Mr Brian Wood. Brian has been a pillar of the community in the Parish of Sundon for many years and is a friend to all who reside here. Brian has taken it upon himself to restore and maintain the upkeep of the Churchyard of St Mary's Church in Sundon Village for the past decade. This selfless act of kindness has meant so much to so many visiting lost loved ones. The Churchyard was neglected and overgrown and thanks to Brian, it is now a tranquil oasis of peace and beauty. Brian has suffered serious illness and deep personal tragedy throughout the duration of his time at the Churchyard. As well as bravely battling cancer Brian sadly lost his beloved son Jason. Jason is now at rest in St Marys churchyard, never far from his fathers side. Despite all that he has been through Brian has continued to help others at every opportunity. He has carried on with his wonderful work at the Churchyard, putting to one side his own suffering and grief. Brian attributes his willingness to remain strong and positive to his incredibly strong faith. He believes that he was driven to compose his spiritual verse and would dearly love for the verse to be shared with everyone. This collection of Brian's work has been an ongoing commitment for many years and is very close to Brian's heart, especially now. Brian is sadly nearing the end of his journey but is looking forward to the start of a new one. Forever the optimist, Brian is not afraid. He remains upbeat and hugely positive, looking forward to being reunited with his son Jason once again. Brian believes that the time is now right to share his unique story with the world. Brian hopes that through his writings others will find strength in times of sorrow, light in times of darkness and hope in times of despair.
